Amazing Asian Food in Miami Beach
I have a new favorite Asian spot in Miami Beach, it’s Tanuki on Alton Road. The restaurant is playfully decorated with lots of color throughout. I loved the Asian elements they used for decoration, like samurai swords on the walls. Their food is the highlight though, it is creative and very delicious.
You will definitely want to order one of their amazing cocktails with your meal. They are unique in their combination of flavors and taste delicious .
I recommend starting your meal with the chefs selected sashimi platter. The variety of five that were brought out to us were each bursting in flavor and you could taste their freshness.
My favorite roll (I think possibly ever) is their truffled yellowtail roll made with yellowtail, chili daikon, avocado and tenkasu. The hint of truffle is not overpowering and complements the yellowtail perfectly.
I enjoyed their Dim Sum selection which brings 5 different kinds of Dimsum (two pieces each,) and is perfect for sharing.
For dessert we had the molten chocolate cake and it was perfection. Lots of melted chocolate goodness oozes out as soon as you put your spoon in it.
Creativity is seen in every dish Tanuki serves, from the plating to the color of ingredients. They now offer brunch and I’ve been told about their happy hour which I’m planning on checking out soon.
